Evangelistic Meeting

Evangelistic Meeting

Dear praying partners,

The Love, Joy, Peace Festival (Gospel Crusade) for children was held by Billy Graham Evangelistic Association on October 22,
2016 at Myanmar Convention Center in Yangon, Myanmar.

The Festival was joyfully attended by over 16,000 Children, including some adults who came along with the children. After preaching the Gospel, thousands of children came forward and accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. Please pray for the effectiveness of follow-up works for those new converts.

This is the first time in my life to see over 10 thousands of children gathered together to listen to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My joyful tears fell from my eyes when I saw children who accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. Those children who had been heading to eternal Hell have turned to eternal Heaven on October 22, 2016. Thank you Lord for those new converts.

Please continue to pray with us for the Love, Joy, Peace Festival (Gospel Crusade) that is to be held in Yangon from November 18-20, 2016.  The other Love, Joy, Peace festival was held in Mandalay from October 21-23, 2016.

To God be the glory!

First Alumni Meet of Southeast Asia Bible College

First Alumni Meet of Southeast Asia Bible College

Dear Praying Partners,

I pray and hope you all are fine and enjoy Christmas season with your family members and many other friends and believers.
The Lord has graciously answered our prayers that we joyfully and successfully held the First Alumni Meet of South East Asia Bible College at City Church Hall in Yangon downtown on December 16 – 17, 2015. The Alumni Meet was attended by 110 (49 alumni and 61 Present students). The Alumni stayed at the SEA Bible College building and we hired a bus for transportation to and fro City Church Hall in Yangon downtown. The Alumni shared about the different ministries they are doing in different parts of Myanmar and we altogether prayed for each alumni and the ministries they are doing.
By God’s grace, we have three guests speakers from USA namely Mr. Joel Hernandez from Emmaus Bible College, Dubuque, Iowa, Mr. Nolan Dittmar and Mr. Brent Cooper. They powerfully and
effectively preached and taught the Word of God at the Alumni Meet. All the alumni and students were greatly challenged and encouraged by hearing those powerful messages and teachings.

A Glimpse Into a Student’s Life: The Food

Here is a glimpse into the student’s lives by sharing photos of a typical meal.

A typical meal is vegetables mixed with meat, such as chicken, pork, beef, or fish. Occasionally, cooked eggs (chicken or duck) are also added to the menu.

In the last year, the staff has worked hard to offer better food for students. We have accomplished this, and the students love it! Better food makes a big difference: when the students arrive back to the Bible school in June, they are thin and their faces are dark and dry. After a month of eating better food than they get at home, their skin quality has improved, and they are much more healthy, handsome, and beautiful!

Southeast Asia Bible College Student Activities

Southeast Asia Bible College Student Activities

We held a variety of games and competitions here at our SEABC Chapel Hall. The student body is divided into four groups: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. They play Bible games, and participated in song competitions and variety shows (which included memorizing Bible verses, choir, quartet, action songs, drama, weight lifting, etc.). The Luke group won the first prize! All the students enjoyed the games and competitions!

Praying Partners #36 Update from the SEABC

Praying Partners #36 Update from the SEABC

Dear valued Praying Partners,

By God’s grace, all the students and faculty members are fine and the Bible school is going well. College’s Day of Prayer: We had the College’s Day of Prayer (Fasting prayer) on August 16th. Many of the students shared about God’s goodness in their lives and we all gave thanks to our good Lord for His guidance and providence for all the needs of the Bible school. We prayed for all partners and friends of SEABC that the Lord will continue to abundantly bless them and mightily use them for His Kingdom and glory. We also prayed for the Gospel revival in Myanmar and around the world. Medical check-up for some students: Dr. Se Sen, a born again believer from Canaan Gospel Church had times together with some of the Bible students at the Chapel on July 27, 2014 and had medical check-up (e.g. blood pressure, flu, some miner deceases, etc) of 10 students. It’s been a great help for the students who came from rural areas and who never had a medical check-up.

Gospel Outreach Ministry of SEA Bible College:

The SEABC’s students are divided into four groups – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. There are 15 or 16 students in each group. Each group is doing Gospel outreach ministry every weekend, especially on Sunday by distributing Gospel tracts and sharing about the Gospel mostly at the Yangon seaport. The students usually distribute Gospel tracts to at least 1500 people within 2 hours. They also have the privilege of sharing the Gospel on the boat / small ship. And one of the faculty members (sometimes the President of SEABC) and the senior students usually have Gospel trips to Shwepye-thar twice in one month. The students teach songs and lead praise and worship in the worship service of Shwepye-thar Children Home. The children really enjoyed singing and listening to the message preached by the preacher.

Each group (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) competed in all games and shows (memorizing Bible verses, Song competition, drama, games, etc.). All students enjoyed the games and shows. Visiting Lecturer:

Dr. Dale Schreiber from Lombert, IL, USA comes to Myanmar once a year since 2007. He taught the book of Galatians to third and final year students this year. During his stay in Yangon, he preached at Canaan Gospel Church two Sundays, teaching adult Sunday School at Hebron Assembly, and teaching Salvation and Christian Life at Dala, beyond Yangon river. All the Bible students and many believers were greatly blessed through the teaching and preaching of Dr. Dale. May the LORD continue to mightily use and abundantly bless him and his wife Mary for His glory Kingdom!

Gospel Meeting:

By God’s grace, we had a Gospel meeting at Dala on August 24th(Sunday). The meeting was attended by around 45 people. In the morning session, Dr. Dale Schreiber taught about the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Satan. He powerfully preached at the Sunday worship service. In the afternoon session I (Kap) taught about salvation. By the work of the Holy Spirit, 10 people accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord before the end of the afternoon session. Please pray with us for the spiritual growth of those new converts and the other Christians. Please pray also for bro. Naw Naw and his family. He is pastoring a home church at Dala.

SEABC’s Literature Ministry:

By God’s grace, we translate some effective and useful Christians books from English to Myanmar language. And we give Bibles (NT & the whole Bible) to believers, missionaries, and unbelievers who need the Bible and who hunger for the Word of God. We are so grateful to our good Lord for providing the needs for this literature ministry.

Update: New Water Pump for Southeast Asia Bible College

New water pump for the Southeast Asia Bible collegeSoutheast Asia Bible College just got a new water pump! Kap Cin Thang, president of the college, recently sent an update to supporters in the U.S.

Letter from President Kap Cin Thang about the Water Pump:

The water supply has been much better since getting the new water pump. We bought 4 new, big buckets for the four dorms. Now there are two buckets in each bathroom. I asked the students today about the water, and they are happy that they now have enough water. They are all very glad and thankful to both of you, Jack and the donors.

I informed them we plan to buy a good, big fan soon. They are very glad and gave thanks to our good Lord Who is our Provider through His people.

Thank you very much for all your wonderful love, kind assistance and continued prayers for the equipping of Southeast Asia Bible College. I am so glad that our brother Terry made a website for our college.

To God be the Glory!
